Was dating a guy at work (never again. Learned my lesson not to date a work colleague) while he's been on vacation I found out he's totally manipulated and played me. I'm heartbroken and embarrassed 😕 should I change my number and ignore him or just be less friendly? what's the best way to deal with it?

I wouldn't be changing any numbers. Why inconvenience myself when I can just put them on ignore or block. Give them nothing but keep it pleasant and professional. If you feel bad you can channel that away from work / him in a positive way.
No, don't change your number and just block that ass hole.
Just ignore him if he tries to communicate with you make it known you aren't interested
