I need help y’all I don't know what to do?

I’m talking to this guy who is actually a really great guy that lives 2 hrs away but whenever I ask when he wants to meet he tells me I don't know gas is very expensive (which I understand) but he’s also talk about having kids cuz he claims that he’s already old and really wants kids (he’s 26 by the way) but kids are more expensive then gas and gas isn’t getting cheaper anytime soon at this point I don’t think he actually likes me cuz if he really did like me he’d come and meet me I would go meet him but I can’t drive due to seizures! So what should I do tell him it’s not gonna work and remove him or just keep him as a friend cuz he’s actually a really nice guy?

I would aim for friendship, if you are genuinely comfortable with that. Gas prices aren’t changing, at least not exponentially and tbh It partially sounds like an excuse for not wanting to make those long drives to you (which is understandable if that’s the case, but he should be honest about that). Like you said, kids cost more than gas but future dreams and fantasies are irrelevant to what’s going on between you in current time.

Let me share a story with you. Last week the love of my life had a big event and I traveled by bus for 4 hours to see her. The bus got lost but I got there, I couldn't get tickets because I didn't have my vaccination cards, was on the phone for 45 minutes to get the vaccination information, finally got it but still couldn't get the tickets, next day waited in the wrong line for the event because nobody bothered to give me the correct address I had to find out from multiple people where the event was. Hiked 22 blocks to support her in 83 degree heat with a heavy backpack on completely exhausted from the sun BUT I still showed up like I said I would and supported her that day. Had burnt food, bloodstains on a hotel bed no working thermostat but I was still there to support her.

Another story in 2020 flew 3000 miles 2 years ago to see her for her birthday just to get stood up by her, in 2021 traveled 4 hours by bus to see her to support some business interviews she had big mixup on everything I'm partly to blame for the mixups. In 2018 traveled the next state over by bus to see her. This was the first time seeing her.

Well it could be is not in a great financial position at this point in time so maybe give him a break. Since one of you would need to spend the money on gas and you can't drive maybe offer to halves?

Kids are way more expensive but that is the future so it is not a good comparison.

If you're able to keep talking to him without having expectations and enjoy the chat, there's nothing wrong in having him as a friend. From what you described, there's not much possibility the relationship will move past this point

You could've said "it's not my intention to just be 'friends', but right now you're not emotionally available to me. I want to keep our relationship poltonic until you are ready to go romantic. This is not the friendzone I genuinely want to be with you, but you're not emotionally available for me right now" or something like that. Don't tell him "friend" that's going to hurt his ego. But it's okay don't feel bad about it. It's not your fault. Next you need to make sure he knows how you feel about him and speech emblematic of who you are. Don't just use cheap words.
