How to help a friend mature in dating?

I am 25 years old and my best friend is 23. However when it comes to dating he might as well be 14.

Translation: he meets a girl and gets all up in his own head about her. Then they meet. Then she gives him barely any friendly signals and be decides she is in love with him. Then he gets more in his head and he starts teasing her like a grade schooler pushing her and tugging her hair while he makes horrible jokes.
Then he texts her relentlessly and when she fails to respond within a few hours he falls appart thinking she's moved on and eventually blocks her number before she blocks him.

There's more to it but this should be a decent explanation.

I'm far more calibrated and have been with multiple women but he is unwilling to take any advice I give. And I'm only giving common sense things that everyone knows.

Any advice on how to get through to him that his way is horrible and he needs a full change of mindset?

This is likely his personality and you will not be able to do much with it. Consider this... in the other facets of his life do you see the same one positive comment snowball into Craziness. What about his work? Is the effect the same whether the other person is complimenting or Criticizing? Where are the like and/or dislike patterns amongst Variations/Situations?

But see that's the thing it's not.
In life he's a chill dude, great with his friends and great at making new friends ( although a poor judge of character)
He's a hard worker who knows the value of teamwork and communication.

Like everyone he has likes and dislikes of course and is generally very diplomatic about them, he's not soft and entitled at all.

He is humbled by a compliment, but defensive agaisnt criticism.

All this to say that when dealing with girls he is never his true self which is hurting his game and I'm trying to get him to lighten up and bring his regular personality to the date

He has bought into the Hype. You’re right, be who you are within good common sense is the way to go🤷🏻‍♂️. He sounds like he has his 💩 together. He will probably change by 28. Sounds like you are much more mature than he is. Why does he lack confidence? Tough childhood of criticism?🤷🏻‍♂️

More like rich parents who neglected him his whole life and set the bar too high for him to reach.

Ohh, and he does not have any control over the woman like he does with Self-success. And he’s never had home modeling. He’s just immature and one day will grow out of it. Nothing you can do for him…learn the hard way guy‼️

You can't live his life for him- all you can do is give him advice. He's got to learn for himself.

Still we are both strangers in a foreign country and have treated eachother like brothers for a decade now it's hard watching him struggle
