Men, would you be mad if you're woman lost weight when you told her you like her size now? Women, would you still lose weight?

I was about to start dieting but my man told me he loves my body how it it and he doesn't want a super skinny women. Back when we first started talking he said I was the smallest he'd date which made me feel a bit insecure. Fast for to now I check my BMI and I'm.3 points over weight. I feel like I carry the weight well. My man said I'm slim thick but being technically overweight for the first time bothers me. I was going to lose 15 lbs but I think I'll just lose 7 to kinda meet in the middle.

I wouldn't be mad, at all.

I think it's important for my wife/girlfriend to be happy with what she sees in the mirror, and knowing that she's not would bother me. If she's not happy with her appearance, then I would encourage her, and support her with whatever she needs to be happy (as long as it's healthy).

I wouldn't have fallen in love with her body, so if she wants to make some changes, then I would learn to love it, because I would love her.

Depends. I prefer not to be mad. If she is somewhere in ball park. If she want to be more fit. If she looks healthy and not looks overweight. As you said you carry your weight well and if you want to loose more. To get in midrange bmi. There is no reason to worry about such things. I am against this whole being mad thing.

So reading your post he says that you are the smallest he would date. Meaning he indicated he likes bigger girls. So if you loose weight and become smaller then when you first met it stands to reason while he may not be mad. He may loose sexual attraction. Now i get it, all the ladies are probably gonna clap back at me with “love is about more then our bodies” and you’re not wrong. It is. How ever. Sexual attraction IS about your body. I dont know any guys out there that got a hard on because a woman could ride a motorcycle well or tell a good joke. Or because she has a cute personality. For guys sexual attraction is physical.


Now. Going back to his comment that you are the smallest he would date. I think he perhaps should have been more specific and said it plainly that he likes his girls BBW. And made it clear that he wants to be with a big woman. And that you’re the smallest he would be with in that category.


And you Should have listened to that insecurity. If he said you’re almost too small for him and you want to loose weight.


Thats a potential compatibility flag there.


Ultimately its your body. Your choice. But if he likes big girls and you want to loose weight that may be an issue for him.


Im similar in that i prefer ladies with chub or even straight up fat. And I was very clear about that with my current girlfriend from day one.

Thank you for your detailed response. I weigh 15 lbs more than I weighed When I first met him. I was thinking about going back to that size. hut i decided to just tone up at the size I am now. Not lose weight. I think that's a good compromise
