Do you believe there's people who really will be always single?

I am self-reflecting in myself. In about 1 month I'll be 30 and I never ever have had any type of romantic relationship.

Yes, I can recall the wholesome elementary school guys who had crushes on me. The ones during high school who sent me cute letters and later in college some guys who approached either via "cold approach" or more in a gentler way.

I've been studying in college following a graduate degree, and pursuing something that where I love requires to have this to practice. Very similar to medical school. Yet, I have had neither the time to meet a special guy, nor have someone approach with interest as it used to be in my earlier college years. I still take care of my appearance, go to the gym, dress nicely and more importantly, I take care of my internal world as well. I have family I love and friends with whom I connect and share quality time. My friends are mostly all women, so there's not a guy either there.

Still I just wonder, if its the historical context we are living, if its me or just that maybe it won't happen. Thoughts on this are appreciated.

A plurality of single men (50%) currently won’t interact with women for fear of coming across as “creepy”. And 30% of young men between 18-30 are also currently virgins, the highest ever recorded.


Your situation doesn’t appear to be unusual, but unless something drastic changes, a whole lot of people are going to be “forever alone”. Seems the meme is being manifested into reality.

You seemed to explain a lot of the reason why you are single. You've had other things going on in your life. You are still very young. You have lots of time to find someone.

Yes. The most appealing time for a female is often in her twenties. That's the time to try to partner up. But most guys are commitmentphobes then.

Study more at the library? Well I presume there's no talking there, so not much of a chance to strike up meaningful conversations.

If you want to get more education or certification, by all means do that, but you can't expect any guy to find you with your nose in books all the time. At the very least, you need to have your eyes up and not on a phone either. But so many people are doing this now, it's going to be a permanent problem for relationships and meeting people.

Where to meet someone is the age-old question. You should tell the people you do know, that you are open to it, and if they ever meet someone who they think you might have things in common with, to pass along your contact info to each other. You can join clubs, whatever your areas of interest are. And like I said, keep your eyes up, look friendly, approachable, when you can.
And the main thing - which you may not want to hear or follow - is that culture has changed, and males no longer feel comfortable approaching women they don't know. They're afraid of getting legal action taken upon them, for 'harassing' her. Or disciplinary action at work or school. So it's time for females to step up to the plate and start lifting some of that weight. It starts with a look, smile, hello, and goes from there. They've done it, and it's always been hard. It's never been easy for guys either.

It's agonizing. Trust me, I know. It's embarrassing, nerve-wracking, etc. But if you see anyone you like the looks of, here's what you do:
Sit down next to them if it's a class.
Chat them up, extend the business transaction if they work in a retail shop you frequent.
Send them a DM online. Begin with something they like, that you've noticed you have in common. Or that you would be open to learning about.
Compliment them.
Ask a question. Listen intently. Let them teach you something.
Whatever contact you have, progress it to a phone call. The voice is less intimidating than video, but it pushes the relationship, and your understanding of one another, to new levels.

Sure, there are some people will always be single. But it's usually by choice.

If you like someone then you just need to make a move and try to find time to date. I think that some people do remain single forever some do this by choice. While others just really never find the right person while others have unreasonable standards and either they aren't interested and when they are they cause them to loose interest.


But if you look and put in the effort and not wait around on someone else then it is very possible you will find someone. I wish you the best

Yes I don’t think I’m one I can get girls because I’m good looking and in shape but if I was uglier abd chubby I’m sooooo socially awkward I doubt any girl would consider me. Girls are more looks obsessed than men!!

The 30 and over crowd aren't kids anymore. We're established adults, and adults have baggage. I'm not saying guys lose interest in women by any means but other things take precedence younger guys' life focus is pretty much just women and young people are too stupid and inexperienced to be jaded. Or turned off by excessive baggage (because no one has lived long enough to have any baggage). I'm just saying older guys are less likely to pursue unless you take a more active role in it. And I'm only basing my response off the wording of your question. It SOUNDS like you've NEVER really done that.

I have in my mind and heart two possibilities, either to get to experience a loving and healthy dynamic with a person long-term or to live with meaning and feel content being single. Given the case I met someone, I'd get to know this person being open towards learning and also being present and honest. If having no experience is a problem for that potential guy, I'd prefer to be alone.

Some guys MIGHT consider it a problem. As I said, if you really wanted to be in a relationship by now you most likely would've been. Sometimes it just takes some people longer to figure things out (relationships). But it can also mean that that person is unwilling to put forth effort and unwilling to meet somebody half way.
Either way I wish you luck. And remember remaining single isn't the worst thing in the world. Always better to be alone for the right reasons then be with someone for the wrong reasons.

I was so much into my studies that saddly didint had the mindset (level of maturity) to understand I could maybe try both. Exploring getting to know someone while studying. I just focused in the latter and in a gentle way expressed I wasn't interested. Even when I did liked the men who approached. I guess that was necesary to now understand that I also would like to meet someone.
