And even though the virus will always be around (Let me be clear that the virus will always remain with us but in a different state and less dangerous possible), this virus is getting weaker now even with new variatns, it seems the virus is getting weaker, thanks to the vaccination programs all around the world, and many people aware that you have to take care of yourselves in basics things, like to wash your hands, dont attend super crowded places, more people working from home now than before, like people alreayd had adopted that way of life, even with the pandemic really cease.

Also the OMICRON variant is now super weaker and even though I heard of a new sub variant of the OMICRON that is more contagious, it seems it is just affecting people from Asia and some parts in the USA but being more contagious for some reasons there are less patients at the hospitals (hospitals are not that saturated) and less deaths. Also restrictions are being lifted all over the world (tourism, public places, airports, business customer capacity now are in full, stores already open full schedule like pre pandemic) and even so, with more people out in streets, stores, places, crowds and things getting or starting to be normal again, , the virus seem not to reproduce anymore as hospital capacities are not getting crowded anymore.

Of course there are people who still can get the virus but since most of the population around the world seem to be vaccinated, the risk is less for those people vaccinated who still catch the virus. I mean people are one more time doing things like t hey used to do before the pandemic started only that now with a little more cautious that is all as they already now the care they have to follow.. Not to be around sick people even with the normal flu, dont go to work if you are sick (some people did it in the past) and always use a facial mask. The facial mask will be around with us of course for a little longer as is

important to wear it though the virus transmit thorugh the mouth and nose andthe mask is the only thing that protects us at this moment. The facial mask I believe is the last restriction to be lifted everywhere.

For instance where I live in the past 3 weeks we had been having concerts and sports game at stadiums n my country at its full people capacity (these events were like the major tests to check if the virus still was contagious or not) and 2 weeks after those events took place,

, the virus in my country had not increased or many peoplel got infected and had collapsed hospitals, any of that happened than God but attendees at those events must wear a facial mask, that was the obligation to attend the stadiums. SO I believe all the attendees were already vaccinated and the use of facial mask also helped.

What about in your respective countries all restrictions lifted or half of them or not yet?

Important: it’s not the vaccine that’s made it weaker, it’s the virus’ own evolution. The vaccine has allowed at risk individuals to survive throughout those evolutions. Also, there’s no guarantee that it’ll be around in a weaker state at all times. The flu comes back in a dangerous form every few decades (we’re actually overdue for an Influenza A epidemic). However, Covid has always been dangerous only to the most vulnerable, namely old people, obese people, and immunocompromised people. It is those people that should be careful when dangerous strains come around. If you’re not in a vulnerable state and are still scared, you’re being tricked by fear peddling of media that needs clicks.

also important: only certain masks really do the trick. n95 and KN95 masks are somewhat effective, wearing cloth ones are just indications of obedience but not actually effective. And you need to understand that this virus evolves too quickly to say masks should be the last thing removed. There will always be another strain on the horizon. As much as the media has been saying “this virus has tricked us before” “we’ve felt safe and we’ve been wrong before”, “they also report on new strains over and over and are wrong about those being dangerous too. So if you’re still scared and still believe in restrictions, you need to ask yourself if you’re prepared to keep them forever if things don’t change

I think we're close to the end - as you say, it's here to stay but I think we'll treat it more like the flu in the future.

All restrictions have been lifted for a couple of months now, expect for special cases; like there's one kid at my work, where we're required to wear masks around still. The cobid passport has been faded out, test centers gone - no more offering vaccine to the masses. I'll be taking my future boosters with my yearly flu shot - which I get for free due to my line of work.

I think some things from covid is here to stay: increased hand hygiene, little distance, the wonders of virtual meetings and learning.

for me this has been over for a while now about 2 years now. But I don't think nearly as many people care about the war in the Ukraine as they had hoped for and the ever growing inflation and surging gas prices (that were going up before putin stepped one boot into the Ukraine) are keeping people laser focused on who is to blame. I imagine covid will make another epic come back just in time for the 2022 midterms so the career politicians can make a case for universal mail in voting again. The only problem with Covid was the utterly ludicrous reaction world wide , its pretty simple , you don't lock down for stuff like this , quite the opposite , you need exposure and THEN , in the name of vaccination everything is opened utterly utterly idiotic response . My father is a doctor in an hospital and he has regularly meetings about the virus and it's very unstable. We don't know yet, yes the new Omicron variant is weaker and can be compared has a common flu but there is still a lot of contamination. But the number of patients is stable and even start to decrease a little bit. But it's something very delicate because virus are unpredictable. Not to mention that Covid-19 is recent and there is still plenty of things we don't know about it yet. There is vaccines and now medication. Vaccines are efficient but medicine we don't know yet. So no one really can give you a sure answer whether it's a strong no or yes. The doctors are still on a tight rope and have to deal with it.

Well the government of our country don't care no more, clubs don't, cinema's don't, concerts don't.
So I would say it was over a bit ago. Just been to club last night with my friends, no one mentioned covid once nor cared. And if people got infected there shrugs. And If I did well we will see soon then but highly doubt it. Haven't even got it once.

Covid has shown that medical professionals, PhD's and scientists have been spouting bullshit and filling their pockets these past few years. Hence why Covid was not only able to penetrate a trillion dollar global industry. But affect every global industry.

All these quacks have been getting rich inventing new flavours of paracetamol, and writing health and wellbeing bullshit. All while doing very little to even check their standards and services are up to scratch, and measuring the right things to see if they are up to scratch.

Yes 100% covid is still around but without all this testing a lot of people wouldn't even know they had it.

My sister in law has to test for work and she felt fine yet 🙂 the test said positive so she stayed at home for a week.

I've been quite lucky I've been in contact with lots of people who have tested positive a day later but I've always tested Negative just a matter of luck I guess!

I'm not saying it's completely gone I'm just saying lockdowns, distancing and masks are not as crucial any more.

I think you're right, in that it will always be around in one variant or another. I think the worst is behind us. If it mutates significantly away from the immunity that we have developed against it, then it could be like it was in 2020. I take it seriously still, but I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it. If need be, I'll go back to stricter restrictions such as in 2020, but for now things are looking better.

However, the impact on health services hopefully is reducing to a level that it can be managed, so can get back to dealing with backlogs on other services that has been caused by the virus. People with cancer or other conditions haven't had their diagnosis/treatments as they should have had. Waiting lists are very high
