Briefly dated, I was a bit too strong, now ever reconnected... how do I act?

Dated 4/5 times over a few months as well as casually seeing eachother a couple times a fortnight. All was great, she told me she was into me etc but outside things made us stop speaking for a while, it's also come to my attention via a mutual friend that things were moving a bit too fast for her. She was always honest and it was her that wanted to temporarily put a pause on so she could sort things in her life, fair enough.. I appreciated her honesty and don't doubt her.

We've reconnected now a month or so later. Very briefly texting, I still feel the same way but I'm concerned about saying anything I shouldn't... im not the person I was and tbh I don't need her even though I do want her, which was not the case before.

How do I proceed? Just after opinions really, my thoughts are, ask a few things generally "how are you" then in a day or so ask her to catch up over coffee? Is this too much too soon? Maybe if I make it clear it's casual and not a date?

Or should I act a bit more distant now? Reply a few times and then leave it to her to get intouch next time? What do we think...
