If somebody is not sure about you, is it important to have a second option you can date if one option. fails?

I used to hear from a guy I thought liked me and now it's almost total silence so I'm investigating ways I could meet other guys if this guy never shows up again.

People usually don't change very often from dating, to relationship, to marriage. And usually we get more comfortable and drop important things we use to do early on.

I say this because it seems like there wasn't a real and true connection from the start, or maybe he is just extremely busy. In most cases its the first.

I always tell people to start as friends, nothing physical, don't go cuddling, kissing, or jumping into bed as all that does is muddy up your true emotions. All of those release a burst of oxytocin in your body, which causes you to feel emotions of love, attraction, and euphoria. Which then makes it even harder to figure out if you like someone or if its just a chemical reaction from you getting physical. If you just are friends with different guys, then eventually you will start to find one that pays more attention to you, lines up with your morals and has things you want in a man and partner, qualities and things that are beneficial in a relationship, etc.

To put it basic, having backup potentials is a bad idea. But making friends will allow you to see if you are genuinely having true feelings for a person. And will make it much easier to enter into a potential date or relationship. Especially since you will know that it isn't your physical encounters that are giving you this false positive.

My dad always tells me just have friends rather than girlfriends, you can have options if one of the girls fails. I know my dad used to do that when he was in his 20's go on dates with girls who were just friends nothing serious between them.

I only pursue if I think it has the potential to become something serious so I am focused solely on one individual at a time. I'm 42 & still single so I'm probably not the best person to take advice in this regard:p what can I say? I know what I want & would rather die alone before settling:)

Now days, just stay single and date as many as you want. Men are going MGTOW now days.
