Is it common for guys to tell their girlfriends that a lot of people are staring at her because she's pretty just to make her feel better?

Personally I feel like I am average looking and that people generally just look at others without thinking much.

Sometimes I'm very insecure and then my boyfriend tells me that a lot of people stare at me when we're outside.

I wouldn't say that it's 'common.' But I can see a certain type of guy saying this (the kind of guy that would take it as a compliment to his girlfriend's looks to have other guys look at her).

Most guys don't appreciate when other men check out their girlfriends, but some do.

I think his heart is in the right place. Whether he says it to make you feel better, or because it's in fact true... I have no idea.

But what should really matter most is that you're obviously attractive to your boyfriend. 🙂

I accidentally voted "no", but it is very common to tell your girlfriend or wife she is "hot".
