Dating an only child is a bad thing or a good thing?

Neither; it's just a thing. It is, however, a thing with complications; someone from a tiny family would be more likely to have difficulty adjusting to mine. My sister's wedding was kinda like that; the church had the bride's side, the bride's other side, and the groom's two pews. Not that we were in any way excluding anyone; it's just that his parents, sister, and a few friends were all he had.

He DID eventually manage to memorize the family tree (as far back as Dad's generation, at least), but I think it was a struggle.

It really deepens on the person, if they were spoiled or not as a lonely child.

I have dated the only child types... some are really cool because they grew up a lonely child and are really good at entertaining themselves and less demanding on you.

But I have also dated the only child type, that grew up spoiled with attention and then expect you to spoil them, like mommy and daddy did.

So, like I said it all depends.

My favourite men always had a lot of woman in their lives as they grew up. Didn’t have to be sisters. They always knew how to talk to woman with a little more ease. Seemed better rounded men too.

It doesn’t have to be either. Only children tend to be a little more self absorbed, but I’ve also known absolutely selfless people who were only children.
