Why would you want you ex to keep your clothes instead of giving them back to you?

My ex does not have my clothes. The only thing he has is some money I spent on him that he never paid back. He offered to pay me back but I never asked for it cause I consider it fraud to give somebody money and then later tell them its not a gift when they believed they would not have to pay it back. It was not a loan but since we broke up, he thought it was morally correct for him to pay me back but I did not ask for the money back.
