Girls, Getting back together after initial rejection?

If a guy having known a lady as a friend for a long time reveals his romantic feelings to her and she romantically rejects him what are the chances they will become romantically involved later in life?

What are the chances they will remain friends? Has anyone ever experienced this?

Yes, I experienced this. It was unbelievably awkward, and uncomfortable. and although I was willing to "reset" the friendship, as long as he never brought up his romantic feelings again, it was never the same after he told me that he was in love with me. I thought it was extremely disrespectful because I had a boyfriend, and he just put down my boyfriend telling me that my boyfriend could never love me as much as HE did. but even after that, as pissed as I was, I was still willing to try to maintain the friendship. Sadly he just would not leave it alone. It was as if he felt emboldened by telling me, and constantly "joked" about how HE would never do that, or HE would have treated me better whenever I had an argument with my boyfriend. He absolutely ruined our friendship, and I eventually had to tell him that we could not be friends any more. He immediately became angry, and I was actually afraid of him. if you are friends with a woman and she rejects your romantic advances, don't EVER bring it up again. you won't win her heart, but you will likely loose your friend! Of course, there are always exceptions, but you asked for OUR experiences, and that is mine.

It depends how much potential. you have to gain her interest and that is not always something you have total control over, and it also depends what her other opportunities and interests are. With the guy I used to like - I believe I'm the kindest and more loving girl he can find but I do not believe I'm the prettiest girl he can find so it depends whether he wants kindness or whether he wants somebody who is very pretty.

I've heard that some women like to consider all their options before settling on a guy. Is that true for you?

If you mean all options as in partner hopping or diversification of romantic loyalties - no I don't do that. But it would not make sense to choose somebody if I believe somebody else is better for me.
