Woman I’m dating payed for me at my birthday dinner and now I feel dumb. I want to do something nice, but she seems less receptive over text now?

A woman I’m dating has her birthday one day before mine. She went out with her girls to dinner a few nights and I had my friends dinner a few days later. I invited her to join me and she was down. Problem is it was a fancy place and the bill racked up to $200. The server and her were insisting she payed cuz it’s my birthday but I didn’t invite her so she could pay. I wanted her to come hangout with me and my friends for dinner. The past few days she’s been less receptive over text and a bit distant. I want to do some nice for her birthday now even though it’s passed but I feel bad and want to. Last time we spoke I opened up the option to going skiing over the weekend and she sort of seemed ok with it but hasn’t asked me what’s up or anything really. Going out with my friends tonight for my birthday tonight too and invited her but she opened and hasn’t responded to that either. I’m stuck help!

I’m a waitress and I’d never butt into who is paying for the tab, that server is a jerk for intruding. Maybe she felt pressured to pick up such a big tab because of the server? If she has an issue, it’s her job to bring it up and communicate though

Have you talked to her in person since incident? Maybe flowers but eye-eye conversation is necessary. She does not agree with ow you handled or are handling things.
