I've been talking and going on dates with this guy for a few months. In person he is great and we are definitely all over each other. But between dates (and sometimes there are weeks between dates) we text but I find he always takes forever to respond.
By forever I mean 12 hours to a few days to respond. Sometimes I end up sending a double text, especially if I had asked a question. He always sends back a lengthy message. Due to this I've been trying to match his style, as I don't want to seem over eager.
I also feel like I've been doing the pursuing lately (asking him out and planning dates). He has mentioned that work is busy right now (he has a few jobs) but he still makes time to go to events and parties with friends. He hasn't invited me to go to any with him. We did meet up at one party (mutual friends, so he didn't invite me) , and he was all over me in front of his friends. We still go on dates, but not as frequently as I would like.
I'm not sure if he is taking things slow or what. His friend told me he is looking for a serious relationship and I know his last girlfriend was very needy. There were other issues and it was a bit of a traumatic situation for him.
He has mentioned that I'm easy going and not needy. Inside my head I don't feel this way lol
Any thoughts on this?
