How to confront my situationship with his lack of communication?

Me and my situationship met about a month ago and created a really strong connection in days. We both have talked about this and are just compatible and get along great. He brought up to me saying he wants a relationship but needs to get to know each other better, but told me he wants to be exclusive.

Everything was amazing, communication was good, I never had any doubts, until last weekend. We had plans on the Saturday, but had plans with friends on Friday. I barely heard from him Friday and on Saturday, he went ghost, I didn't hear from him in 24 hours, in this case i did text him quite a bit because we had plans and was worried something may have happened to him. on Sunday when he apologized and said he got scared because he in a previous relationship when he was with his friends, his ex would start blowing up his phone. We talked it out, agreed to continue, as this would not happen again.

during the week everything was great, we hung out and everything was normal, then we had plans again on Sunday. he texted me on Saturday saying he was going through some family issues and he'll call me soon. It is now 2 days later, I have not heard anything but i know he was with his friends all weekend, as some friends posted things.

I have no problem if he wants to hang out with his friends, but the lack of communication on the weekends is very low and when we specifically have plans, i assume they are cancelled in which i should not have to think like that. I do not want to end things, I would rather work on this and figure things out, however i do not want to overstep a boundary as we are not dating so i am not sure exactly what to say.

I would give him some space and address it when you’re not worried. I think having a conversation about his intentions would be a good idea to make sure you and him are on the same page. Also, your relationship is fairly new as the first 3 months are the “getting to know you stage.” I think it’s crucial in any relationship to set clear boundaries what you will and won’t accept from any relationship. Lack of communication sounds like a deal breaker for you.

Remember we can never control anyone other than ourselves. All we can do is communicate to others how we’re feeling/our concerns. It’s their choice whether or not they want to listen, understand, and make a change in their behaviors.

Look if he is lacking in communication, you do the same and a lot above and stop entertaining this thing.

Unless you don't care about this being a casual hookup but I doubt it, cause then you would've went into full length... he won't choose you, so better move on and spare your heart form getting hurt even more

Twice is a trend. Twice in a row is a very worrisome trend.

I'd suggest one of two courses of action. Either don't text him at all and wait until he messages you (see if he gets it). Or, actually get a meeting with him and tell him that his "communication" is the opposite of that and either it changes or you're done.

He needs to get over his insecurities and prioritize you. Might be worth being direct and telling him that and tell him this isn’t what you’re looking for and if he does it again, you’re gone.

It seems like you are not on the same page. And he is comfortable putting you off.
