I just realized what you're actually asking. I typed out a whole thing, then realized what you were actually asking. Which is whether you should see a fortune teller before your first date. Right? Cuz that's what I'm answering.

The answer is: It totally depends on whether or not you believe in that sort of..."thing."

If you believe fortune tellers possess some sort of divine insight into random people's futures (I mean... does free will even exist then? anyway...), then sure, she can give you divine insight into your future.

If however, you believe fortune tellers are crooks who pray on people; in an industry which has a long, well-documented history of being exposed as bullshit. Then it would probably be a dumb idea.
