So apparently I sparked a little debate in YouTube comments. I watch two hot takes quite often and in this Reddit situation this girl 19 has 5month old triplets with male 23, they started dating when she was 17 and him 21. Someone commented saying how could they not mention the age gap and the fact he's a child groomer. How he probably befriended her for over a year and then started dating the second she was legal.

I simply said to say someone is a criminal without any proof or extra information is a bit over the top. All we know is she was 17 when they started dating 🤷‍♀️. I also pointed out that 4 years isn't that big of a deal as there're plenty of relationships with bigger age gaps hell the male and female celebs do it those their 60/70s are going out with 20/30 year olds.

As far as I'm concerned "children" means prepubescent or just beginning puberty. Age of consent is meaningless.

When I was in 7th and 8th grades, there were girls who had boyfriends in high school. Are we supposed to believe that those guys groomed those girls? Those 13 and 14 year old girls were the ones seeking older boyfriends because guys their age weren't very mature yet. Some of those girls could easily pass for 18.

Once a girl passes puberty and fills out, she can do what she wants.

When I was 16, my first girlfriend was 14 and had been in one, short-lived relationship before me. She's the one who initially came on to me. And once were were boyfriend-girlfriend, she is the one who initiated sex.

My next girlfriend was probably 15 when I was 17.

My next girlfriend was probably 16 when I was 18 and we were still together a few years later.

All those girls were on the pill already because it was the time of sexual liberation. I certainly didn't have to groom them. They were good girls with normal, healthy values who wanted a boyfriend and they wanted to explore sexuality. They wanted to settle down and have families, and they eventually did.

So what's the difference between a 15 year old girl having sex with a 16 year old or 19 year old boyfriend? It's just sex, and it's her choice.

I do think older guys (especially past their early to mid-20s) who go after high school girls have issues. All they want is sex with newly ripened, tender girls, obviously, because they can't possibly be immature enough to relate intellectually and emotionally with girls that young. It's a fetish, just like the fetish for virgins.

But I don't think girls are mindless victims, either. That's patriarchal thinking.

I think beautiful women of any age can be groomed. Look at Hollywood.

When it comes to grooming kids, I think there is a push by the woke liberals to begin sexualizing school children by teaching LGBTQ sex as young as kindergarten. Now THAT'S perverted. And what about beauty pageants for young girls? There is lot of actual pedophilia out there.

An indivual who creates a emotional connection and gains the trust of a child -in order to exploit and/or abuse them. Age gaps or age - does not define grooming.

Legality doesn't make something right either tho. I don't think there's ANY reasonable justification towards someone my age or even older- fiddling around with 15 year olds, legal or not.

It would be 16/18 year olds depending on the country, but I totally agree with you. What's your opinion on the scenario? 19 and 23 a 4 year gap started at 17 and 21.

No, where I'm at age of consent is 15, so adult men are fiddling around with 15 year olds - heck I've been that 15 year old (&even younger) and there are countries that have that age even younger.

As I said, grooming isn't defined by age gaps and as you say that's the only factor about their relationship we know - so I could not say unless I started basing my conclusions on assumptions, which I try not to do. I can say that my first assumption based on that info wouldn't be grooming.
