If someone asks you out soon after someone else asks you out, can you go out on a first date with both guys to see which one is a better match?

Yes. But you should never tell the guys you're dating other guys because it sends the message that you're not really giving him a fair shot. It's like if you went to a restaurant to eat and the server started telling you about the food at the restaurant across the street. That said, you should also NEVER get into a situation where you let the guy think the situation is exclusive and/or serious when it's not. If the guy starts spending all of his free time with you or talking like you're exclusive then it's dishonest to let him believe it when it's not true. You need to come clean or exit the situation at/before this happens.

And although, I said, "yes" it doesn't mean that I think it's ideal. Ideally you would only date 1 guy at a time and make up your mind whether you're interested in him or not. I don't think you really benefit as much as you might think from dating multiple guys at the same time. You're just training your mind that it's okay to only put 50% or less effort into each guy.

Yes, of course. A first date never imples exclusive dating and it would be foolish to make that commtment so soon. Generally, by the end of the third or fourth date, I know whether a lady is a contender for a LTR.

Sure go for it, I used to date one guy each night of the week, until one became serious then I'd stop with the others. That is what dating is for, little kisses were fine with each of them but nothing more. No big kisses or making out or anything.

Yes aslong as the date time does not conflict or endanger the first date. The first date only requires your attention during it. There is no commitment before or after it. It's when you are multiple dates into a relationship where you should be committed. Any other dates are unacceptable.
