+1 yYes...
I'm still single, if that answers your question, LOL. I've not only asked guys on dates (yes, some of us really do), but asked a select few I really liked or thought felt the same way to be my boyfriend-
Yeah it never ends well. Apparently I suck at reading guys and their interest: go figure.

Yeah, sure have! Honestly I don't really care for the old-fashioned way as many people call it; if I want it, I'll have to get it or make sure it happens myself🙃. I see no use in waiting until the other person manages to collect the courage to ask me when I've already made my decision😅 Also, I find assertiveness to be an attractive trait and I think it's an important quality to have in all parts of your life.

+1 yMy current girlfriend didn't ask me specifically, but she just started calling me "baby", like I didn't have a choice. Actually, my last one did too.
Which I don't really like, because I like to be the one to give her a rose and ask her to be my girl. I'm old fashioned that way00 Reply
7.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. No woman would even want to do that with me. I am not designed and organized in such a way where her leading would really be something that she want to do. No...

+1 yI asked my childhood friend Tyler out when I was 8 he rejected me because he only seen me as a little sister and he had a crush on my older sister... I never asked anyone out after that.. I just talk to dudes online if they wanna fuck me enough we date 🤣😂

Aww 😢
I find this question eye opening as to how men go through the darting to relationship phase.
The woman should be the one who always pushes for the guys commitment. If the guy is pushing, then the woman should naturally be telling herself that she can find someone better.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNo, I have never done that. I have told a guy I liked him/ had feelings for him before he confessed them to me. But that's the furthest I have gone. All the power to the women who have asked a guy to be their boyfriend though. You have guts and confidence!

Opinion Owner+1 yI also appreciate the men who make the sacrifice every day.
+1 yOne asked me, at the time I was still of the mindset of being worried about long distance and had too much baggage, so I refused due to insecurities. Now I wish I took her up as I'm pretty sure she was genuine. I can't even apologize to her now, lol.

+1 yI don't remember. Probably once or twice. Maybe three times. Most of the time, lucky for me, it was the dude asking.
People who answered no are either lying or too pretty (lucky haha!). Or too snobby!

+1 yI have never and I don’t think I’ll ever. I believe men should be the ones doing the pursuing, or maybe I’m just old fashioned lol

Agree guys should always be pursing and chasing after the woman. Now it seems reversed like we have to plan the date and ask them like what.. bc I know for me a guy asked me to hangout I agreed but never brought up any specific plans I tried asking what they wanted to do but then they let it up to me but dude you asked me to hangout so should‘ve had something in mind before asking
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt was complicated he first asked if we are together yet. We decited not just yet. And in a few days I initiated the question and we decited that we should be together

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yWell if you mean specifically ask out. I've had only one. It actually was the most wonderful woman I've ever met to. She was MUCH smarter than me. She could see what a great match we were even if I couldn't at the time.
00 ReplyI have been asked a few times. And a few times i said yes. I do hope ladies dare to ask more often.

@DermalPunch What happened?
- +1 y
@Jamie05rhs he turned me down. then he accepted. we got married. had kids. sadly we didn't make it but it was for the best, I believe. Looking back it has made me even more adamant about men taking the lead.
- +1 y
@DermalPunch. Oh. Did he cheat?
- +1 y
@Jamie05rhs no no. nothing basic like that. it was a breakdown in communication and ego stuff.
- +1 y
@DermalPunch Okay.
