Could you date a boring person?

I'm dating a guy who is handsome, good, kind, smart, rich and incredible in bed. But he doesn't talk much, answers short, is not interested in many things (besides things about me), is melanholic and generally gives off 'given up of life' kinda vibe lol. We haven't had a conversation about one topic longer then 3 minutes. He's very onto the point and doesn't mind the awkward silence.

It's been a month and I'm not sure if it's just too soon for him to open up yet or this is his personality. If it is his personality I don't think I can be with someone who doesn't stimulate me intellectually... And the silence thing can be good but not this soon into relationship, I think.

I feel sad because this guy really likes me and wants everything with me and has always follwed through every plan and his words match his actions. He is honest, has really kind heart and we have amazing sex. Would it be stupid to dump him for being bored?

If he is smart, I am sure he can hold a conversation, and perhaps you just need to coax him out of his shell over time.

Moreover, being a little boring is often a good thing compared to someone that is a handful and always has to be the center of attention.

Quiet, yes. Talkative and boring, no. There was a girl I knew in college that I thought was cute but she incessantly rattled on about her friends from HS that of course none of us knew. Eventually people started avoiding her.

And its not like the friends she talked about were the least bit interesting, at least in her telling.

I'm like this with the guy I'm with. It's probably his personality but over time he might open up to you more. All good things take time. I know I could be more open with my guy, but I am a bit nervous about opening up more to him. This could be the case with your guy.

If I were you I'd make it work with him. Time moves fast and its hard to have kids after 30 as a woman. You could tell him how you feel. Have you asked him why he answers short?

I would recommend slowing down, and maybe you two can meet somewhere in the middle, he sounds great. But if you give it some timez feel it out, and don't like enjoy being around him truly than maybe it would be best to move on.
