Everyone, male or female, should have the highest standards they can get away with while still being able to attract and keep a partner, or else come to terms with the fact that they will be single for the rest of their lives. But there are a lot of women today complaining about not being able to find a "good man", and a lot of men complaining about not meeting women's unrealistic standards. At some point either the two will come to terms with each other or the human race will go extinct.

@pethouse. There's no shortage of guys complaining on GAG about dating, spouting off "woe is me" and throwing out meaningless numbers. I get the impression a large part of the problem is they hunt the net looking for information that seemingly supports what they want to think, and seek only like-minded people to agree with them. Fact of the matter is the majority of the population, both men and women, consists of average people. I never set "standards" for dating and no women I know never did either. I never got into the online dating game, and I rarely hear success stories about it either. So if a woman lists her preferences for an ideal dreamboat on Tinder, she isn't likely going to find it, and a man who is interested in physical attributes isn't going to find them either. Most of the problem is attitude, and some comments people make on here make me think they never leave the house or even try. Nobody likes people who walk around with a chip on their shoulder or who are just mad at the world. Even the least experienced in dating can easily pick up on negativity. So yes, the problem is obvious, but it isn't percentages or other metrics. It's just a matter of being a person someone enjoys being around, and finding someone who feels the same. Not that anything I wrote here is going to matter, some people's minds are made up.

Of course you're a woman so it will be hard for you to see the problem because you're seeing things through a women's lens. But look it up. 63% of men 18-29 are single and only 34% of women are single. But of course course data doesn't matter only anecdotal evidence
