Are most guys hesitant to enter into a long term relationship with a woman they’re dating? Does love grow?

Let’s say a guy is nice looking and has himself together. Career, education, home…ect.., guy may have been playing the field, flirting, talking to different women or having casual sex..

He ends up dating “his favorite” but seemed hesitant in the beginning of the relationship

So this is going to be totally dependent on what kind of guy you're dealing with. Some guys would have no hesitation getting into a long term relationship with someone they're dating. In fact, that's what some guys are looking for in dating someone.

This guy however, sounds like he is not looking for a long-term-relationship. He's "playing the field" or "just having fun." A guy like your describing WOULD be hesitant to enter into a long-term relationship, simply because that's just not what he's looking for.

It does totally depend on the guy. This isn't a "most guys" situation. There are broadly two categories of guys (for your purposes anyway). There are guys looking for a long-term relationship: And those that are just looking to have fun and date multiple people.

True love does require growth over time. You need to form a deep connection, bonds and trust with someone before you truly love them. However, usually there is a fairly intense "spark" between two people if there's real relationship potential between them. So its not "love" but there should still be something special and exciting about that person in particular. You should both be getting butterflies in the tummy.

Unless this guy is giving you very definite signals that he is possibly interested in a long-term relationship with you... I would assume that he is not looking for that. (based on what you've mentioned here. I could be wrong about that. I don't know your whole situation). 🙂

I'm hesitant to even date but I have circumstances that prevent me, aging mother I try my best to keep from going to a nursing home.

Once my duty to my mother is served I'll find something good to invest myself in. Whether that's finding love or serving in another capacity remains to be seen. I'm a true Venus in Cancer.

Last time I fell in love I was 19 & that didn't go so well:/ I've changed my priorities to becomming the best version of myself in the interim vs dwelling on being alone.

I think it's definitely increasing. Men are now able to (seemingly) get most of what they want without any commitment, so they do.

Yes, it seems that most are usually hesitant. They want all the benefits without putting in any of the effort.

Guys are usually hesitant in commiting, as the time changes they get more responsibility like job, family, relationship etc at times after commeting girls gets too much attached to that guy. Unlike others guys also need some personal space they don't want attachments all the time. Hence they feel that it might ruin their space in fulfilling other commitments.

Which is understandable … I like having my alone time a lot and I feel different from other women bc they like being under their man 24/7. I’m the opposite
