Relationships themselves, are all flawed. We’re not supposed to be monogamous beings. The idea of relationship is ridiculous, absurd.
If you look at most of nature and most mammals. Most of them ARE NOT monogamous. Monogamy in humans, only started due to religion. Otherwise we’d be free to explore our desires like we’re supposed to. Women are supposed to be with the the best male. The alpha male. And we’re meant to be pumped by him and his superior genes. Like in gorillas where an alpha male gets all the ladies.
People only get into a relationship because they’re expected to. Because they can’t be all alone, and have codependency issues. Or they need someone to financially support them all through life. Not because biologically we are meant to be monogamous.
The only animals who are in a long-term partnership is the Eagle 🦅, and the Doves 🕊️. A small amount of species practice monogamy. But humans biologically are not made to be in long term partnership.
Just look at the amount of cheating and infidelity on both women and men. No gorilla 🦍 or chimpanzee is monogamous whatsoever. I personally don’t see the NEEED to be attached to someone. The only thing that ever attracted me to dating was the physical aspect bc the rest you can get with friends & less drama.
I don’t like touching people unless I’m very attracted to them so dating and that appeal but that’s basically it. It’s difficult to find bc most work who want physical contact in dating that means sex which I do not care about. And people who are asexual tend to not feel attraction in a way that is compatible with me so yeah i don’t really date bc what I appreciate is generally not appreciate sun the way I do. There are plenty of work who like physical affection but very rarely does not involve sex and sex is usually the main goal.
If I date someone, it is in hopes it someday results in something more— falling in love, marrying, and building a family. At the same time I don’t necessarily NEED to be in a relationship. I enjoy flirting around. But it doesn't come with the long lasting satisfaction that that of a relationship can give. Then again, flirting is kinda always an “on” thing... just with different people so that it never dies out. Relationships tend to have their honeymoon stage then the spark dies out for at least one of the two people in the relationship. Its just hard to keep one person happy in the long run. So sometimes it seems just flirting around is more worth it
Trying to get my entire queue emptied, books published, some return on investment, and figure out how to spend the remainder of my days matters more to me now. But if I find a worthy woman, great. I won't have to face the end alone.

I date to marry. If I date, it is because I could see myself being with the person long-term. I would rather be single and work on myself/just live my life than be with someone I am only so-so about. I don't need any unnecessary drama in my life when we inevitably break-up.

I'm not sure I do anymore. I thought to share a life with someone. To build together. To grow old together. But I don't believe most women today even want that anymore.
