Gomer Pyle had no experience with women and Barnie set him up with a blind date. The plan was for him to take Gloria to a dance on Saturday night. Since he had no experience, he asked others for advice, and Sheriff Taylor told him to find something to compliment the girl.

When Gomer went to Gloria's home, he discovered that she was a rather hefty girl, but she seemed to have a pleasant disposition. They arrived at the dance and soon got out on the dance floor. After a few dances, a slow tune was playing and they started dancing a litte closer. Gomer starting trying to think of something to say, then he remembered the sheriff's advice. He leaned down and whispered into Gloria's ear, "For a fat girl, you sure don't sweat much!"

Not from nerves or anything. A lot of my first dates have been something outdoors and active, so yeah, but that was kind of the point.

No. If anything I’m the opposite because I don’t feel the need to force them to like me by placing myself in situations I find uncomfortable.

My partner now, I don’t ever recall getting anxiety stress sweats. But I do get flustered when he does or offers a romantic gesture.

I feel no anxiety at all on a blind date - I feel more anxiety and stress on a date with somebody I know closely and have an emotional connection to.

I've only ever been on one first date and that was with my husband. Truthfully I didn't sweat but my panties were wet when I first met him and started a conversation at dinner, I was so horny I was practically shaking, when he held my hand. That night I had my first wet dream about him. My mother thought I had peed in my bed.

No. I went on a date once where the guy was sweating a lot. It really, really, put me off. At one point he got up and grabbed loads of tissues to wipe his face constantly throughout our conversation.
