Loving their mom and having a great connection is one thing but a mamas boy is a no for me. 9/10 that means he’s still very reliant on his mom and would seek those things from me. Someone to mother him. No thanks.

I don't agree. I am a mama's boy too but she has given me full freedom. Whenever she tries to control me, I remind her that I want to make my own decisions and live life on my terms.

I agree, in a boyfriend girlfriend or husband wife relationship too much interference from their families is big headache. Even I too don't like it. I have seen some parents and relatives intentionally try to break the relationship of their sons and daughters.

I am an independent guy and I am going to marry a girl of my choice. But I am a mama's boy, I can't stop loving my mom. She is the person who took care of me from a baby to adulthood more than my dad. I don't have a girlfriend yet. The only woman I love is my mom. She is my mentor and guide. If she wasn't there for me, I would have become a criminal. She raised me so well. I am so lucky to have her in my life. She is a blessing in disguise.

No one says you shouldn’t love and be connected with your mom, that’s what I was saying in the first place. But the phrase “mamas boy” is basically a guy who has an excessive need for his mom. It gives off the impression that he can’t make his own decisions, and being with him is like committing to his mother as well. If that isn’t you then you may not want to call yourself a mama boy and pick a different definition, but you put yourself in a very specific group of men and casts you in a certain light for a woman you want to date.

Relax I'm referring to the ones from TLC's I love a Mama's boy, not you.
The ones on the show literally go on dates with their mamas and have spa days with their moms. One dude celebrates valentines with his mom rather than his girlfriend just cos it's her bday. One dude calls his mom "sexy" . And they put their moms before their wives. It's disturbing! If u don't fit that description, don't worry.
