I started dating Helen in December 2020. Our first date was at the Bonefish Grill in Gainesville, where she lived at that time. She moved to my hometown and started living with me in July, 2021.

On March 10, this year, I took Helen back to the Bonefish Grill in Gainesville. She thought we were meeting my cousin and his girlfriend, but I had other plans. I had reserved the exact same table where we sat for our first date. About 10 minutes after we were seated, the manager brought us two glasses of champagne. I got down on one knee, told her that my life woul be complete if she would be my wife, and she said "yes." I had an engagement ring that I placed on her finger, the restaurant patrons applauded, I gave her a kiss, and then we finished our meal with huge smiles on our faces.

I think it would be difficult to top that date!

It was the first real date I went on with my future wife. We saw Gordon Lightfoot perform in an outdoor amphitheater. I packed a picnic lunch. We really did not know each other very well so the two hour car ride gave us some time to talk. The day was perfect an Mr. Lightfoot put on a great show. We drove back and sat in her driveway and talked until early morning.

@OlderAndWiser I thought Gordon Lughtfoot would be around forever. He was 93 when he died. He was all set to tour when he got sick.

For valentines day one year I bought my girlfriend and I a hot air balloon ride. It was so beautiful and exciting, and I didn't want to let her go, I just loved having her in my arms and being there with her, all I wanted to do was marry her right then and there. We were also secretly using a certain device to add to the fun. Unfortunately I am no longer with her because I fucked up, though I wish we could rekindle our romance because she is the love of my life still, after all these years

First date with my now wife. We had lunch and talked for hours. I became emotional when discussing the breakup with my ex wife and she held my hand all through the rest of the date.
