I have this constant feeling and inner voice saying that I'm not wanted, that I'm a burden and it's embarrassing for the receiver if I were to confess, approach or something else.

It takes a lot before that goes down when meeting new people.
A only have a selected few friends where I know it's not the case.

But because of that voice, I won't really be able to approach guys.
Well, I also know I'm not the "I can get anyone I want" kind of woman.

So yeah, kinda need the guy to approach.
But in a genuine way.

Yeah I do approach. Both guys and girls. My first and second (boyfriend and then girlfriend) I approached. The last ex he approached me. It was a short relationship anyhow. I don't mind doing it if I really am taken with the person. I get hit on a lot being a female bartender. It's like part of the job at this point. But if I see or interact with someone I like I will absolutely make a move. Did with this girl that I've been hanging out with. I had no intention in getting in a relationship right now but she really caught my attention.

I let guys do the approaching. However, I almost always make the first move by smiling or otherwise indicating that it is okay to approach me. Some guys too stupid to know better, approach me anyway and they are very rudely rejected.

I prefer to let the guy do the approaching but I did make the first move with my current boyfriend. Plus I’m bi so if I ever end up dating a girl I won’t have a problem making the first move.

But I have also approached guys a lot. My thought process is if the guy is single and you look good then he will most probably not say no
