How do you date and find a boyfirend?

I’m asking because , I’ve been looking for a new boyfriend. I go out recently men have been looking at me, I’m at liquor store and a guy told me hello. I was at a restraunt and Teo single guys were next to me and my family and my mom said one guy kept looking at me & nervously laughing. Then I walk to my car & I see guy drive by looking at me.
I’m using a new dating app & I talked to one guy but he didn’t continue conversation. Now I’m talking to other guy & he is replying back a lot so I’ll see what happens but no date yet he hasn’t given me his number yet nothing.
I complimented another guy & he give me his number but I’m not that attracted to him.

then I have a strong crush at job but he hasn’t been to work lately & I don't know when I’ll see him to be able to talk to him for the first time. But I have seen him look at me 3x before. but we don’t work in the same area.
I have realized I hav no boyfriend yet. Who will be the one for me? I also have to wait for a guy ask to be my offical boyfriend.
So many guys & it’s overwhelming.
but my heart wants crush at job and guy on dating app that kinda looks similar to crush he kinda getting my attention.

No other guys at job have got my attention n 2 guys July did crush on me but I didn’t like them back & they quit.
I also have talked to an Irish guy but he is very far away & I find myself having no interest in him & keep ghosting him. He’s not ugly but I have 0 interest in him sexually. He turned me off by something he had said.

I like shy , humble guys, nerdy, skinny, short 5”2 to 5”9 , with brown hair.
I don’t like super outgoing social men nor adventurous men as I’m shy. I do talk but not super outgoing with many friends.
I don’t like cocky party men, it’s a turn off for me.

I was sort of in your shoes before the relationship I’m in now and my biggest advice is to be patient. There’s truly no rush to finding a relationship, so if the apps aren’t working or you aren’t having luck right now, it is ok to take a break and focus on yourself at the moment, then try again at a later time.


In regards to your prospects, I personally wouldn’t recommend dating someone from work. Even if you don’t work in the same area, just the fact that you are coworkers can still turn the situation messy, which may lead to awkward and/or uncomfortable encounters if things don’t work out ultimately. I know the temptation is there because if you don’t have much exposure to meeting men outside of work, then choosing him seems convenient. I also understand that for some people, dating a coworker has worked in their favor. But those cases are far and few between compared to how often it’s a bad idea, I’ve personally witnessed a bad outcome for my friends.


All this to say, are you doing anything wrong? No, I don’t think there’s really a right or wrong way to navigate dating if you aren’t being toxic. Just be a smart as you can about your choices. Have a solid idea of the sort of man you want in your life going forward, and don’t settle for anything less that that. Keep your expectations minimal, that way you can leave easier if things don’t work.


Lastly, if you choose to ghost anyone, if it’s early on then don’t worry about it. On dating apps, you are doing what almost everyone else is, and that’s looking for the right fit. You don’t owe each other anything, your conversations may not have even left the app lol so it’s ok.

I don’t have bad experiences with meeting guys at work it’s actually been lucky for me. I met ex boyfriend at past job, it’s just confusing to me as all these guys r looking at me and so forth but which guy is the one for me? Who will be my boyfriend and ask to be my boyfriend?

It’s great that you had success with an inter office relationship, but you also have to be mindful of the fact that this won’t be the case every time, because every man is different, every connection is different, you just never know.

As for the men looking at you in public, I’m glad you take that with a grain of salt because there isn’t much to take from these instances. Being acknowledged doesn’t automatically transfer to interest, so if I were you I’d focus on meaningful interactions. Like meeting a guy online, if you match then you know there’s a level of interest, it’s not something to assume or guess about.

Just out of curiosity, what’s making you so adamant about finding a man? Personally after too many flukes I’d give it a break.

I totally understand what you mean, and there’s nothing wrong with wanting a boyfriend already to start your life with. But at the same time, I believe there’s more to life than being a wife and mother. Yes, those are two huge accomplishments almost every woman wants, but what else is there? In my opinion, life is too short to pour so much time into swiping through men and looking for a relationship when you can be doing more meaningful things as well. You should find additional things to give your life fulfillment. I also think you should use this time as a single woman to better yourself in any way you can, that way you are your healthiest self when the right guy comes along.
