Where do you meet men in NYC besides bars?

the bar scene doesn't work for me. I walk in and nobody talk to me for hours. I try to make eye contact with some dudes and they almost always are just looking for nothing but just hookup. Nobody ever hits on me. Maybe I'm just ugly.

I go on meetup. com to try to join a few groups so I can meet people but usually there are just 2-3 men that are physically unattractive and just not my type at all. I don't know where to meet a variety of men, not just a mini group with 2-3 men. I want more variety / options.

There are so many young men out there walking around on the street all the time but just so hard to meet them. I"m a really shy girl so I am not the type who can just walk up to someone and start flirting. I also don't want to approach someone who is married. Its the most awkward embarrassing situation ever.

Get a pretty drink, get off your phone and just immerse yourself in the environment. The secret to getting guys to approach is simply seem like your not FACE DEEP in your phone or chugging your drink out of anxiety. And probably the strangest tip is smile (YES it sounds and is cheesey but no man wants to talk to a woman that looks like she's actively going through their period on the spot) XD.

i don't walk around with my phone shoved in my face. i literally have attended events standing there all alone or sitting there all alone without a phone. Nobody cared to talk to me or make any eye contact.

i live in a city where men don't even make any eye contact at all.
