Slave owners had sex with slaves for hundreds of years and were still racist.

Do you know how many white people have said, "I'd love to have sex with a black person because [insert racist stereotype here]."

Not to mention all the white women I know who would have sex with a "colored boy" (they still say that) just to try it, but they'd hide it from everyone, wouldn't have a relationship, and only marry or have kids with a white man because black babies are ugly and black men are inferior.

I've heard it all living in an area that's 95% white. A person can have black people in every facet of their lives and still be racist, because they still hold racist beliefs and think those people are inferior.

All of of my white female best friends have been racist. If something doesn't fit their prejudice, it must be because of my "white genes". Like my children and I being intelligent, popular, successful, well off, and gorgeous. It can't possibly be from the other side.

One of the very girls who wouldn't have a mixed baby because they are ugly keeps trying to marry her kids off to mine and is shocked that my kids rejected them... Because her perfect Aryan babies were supposed to be superior and aren't. She's also tried to have sex with me for years and failed and doesn't understand why that didn't work either.

Her daughter rejected a boy for being black even though he was the only boy who'd ever been nice to her. The mom asked why, and she said because you wouldn't want me dating a black boy. The mom was like, where'd you get that idea from? Maybe from everything she says about black people being racist stereotypes? Maybe from her saying that she only wants descendants with straight blond hair, white skin, and blue eyes? Everyone sees it but her.

I remember being in school one day when a girl made a racist comment, and I called her on it. So, she said "My boyfriend is black and I go to a black church!" Okay, you still made a racist comment...

So, nah, sex alone with a different ethnicity doesn't mean a person isn't racist. They'd have to truly believe that person is equally valuable and valid as a human no matter their color.

Sometimes people choose people from different backgrounds because it's titillating or exotic to have sex or a relationship with them.

However, they don't choose this partner for who they are: their personality, intelligence, warmth, for what they have in common. It's about outward appearance, the look, the idea of breaking rules, boundaries, convention.

This is because of racism: the sociological separation of cultural groups due to arbitrary reasons: no race mixing, religion, prejudice, bias, different socio-economic backgrounds.

This doesn't mean a person actively, consciously makes these choices. Racism is deeply embedded in our societies. If there wasn't racism, there would be no Ukrainian/Russian or Israeli/Hamas wars.

But if we're only talking about sex, it's likely this is based on the age-old black male myths of hypersexuality and potency. People explore these myths, especially in sexual situations. But this places the real person in a minor role in such couplings. And such myths are always based on racist tropes.

It's possible two people can get past this. But the reason for doing so in the first place is based on mythologies based on racist ideas that are hundreds of years old.

We're all tainted by racist poison. The black male may be tricked by the myth of white female superiority to black females. It's a tangled web.

Not at all. It's still VERY possible to think less of other races even if you sleep with them. For instance, you may prefer one particular race in bed but at the same time think less of that same races culture and/or general behaviour.

Plenty of racists would still sleep with the object of their racial preference but on the other hand never engage into a relationship with one or think of themselves as equals.

"Racist" isn't limited to "refusing to have sex with". It's a pretty big spectrum. She's certainly not filled with homicidal rage at the mere sight of black people, but that doesn't mean she sees them as functionally equivalent to other people.

She could also be racist against OTHER groups. Hell, she could be self-hating and despise everyone BUT black people.

Maybe because I went through school with probably a 50/50 student representation that I never considered being racist and dated black guys from the get go of my beginning to date. It was quite common at school for black guys and white girls to be walking hand in hand around the school, 90% of the jocks were black and I wanted to fuck all of them a quest I never got to complete. Now when I read of the black thug gangs and such yes I guess that's where you might say I'm a bit racist, but the thing is I feel the same about the Hispanic and white hoodlums.

The fact that people automatically associate racism with "White" is a bit racist in of itself.. But, no... Especially if it's just sex.. A lot of people use other groups as an experiment and experience.. That's definitely not seeing them as a person.. Now if they formed a relationship with them and formed a family then that's when you could almost say without a shadow of a doubt they are not racist..
