Do guys often mention the number of girlfriends they had in a casual conversation with a woman?

I AM taking private dance classes for about 4 months. My instructor is my age and we often talk during breaks. I enjoy our conversations as topics vary from hobbies, work, the films/things we like and dislike, small addictions, etc. but recently we started talking about weddings and relationships (it is his job to prepare wedding dances for couples) and he mentioned the number of girlfriends he had until now. Would a guy give such information if he didn't like the woman? I AM an introvert and I think I have a crush on him, but I wouldn't like to do something uncalled for that would make the both od us awkward or would force us to end the lessons.

Number of girlfriends is something anyone would mention to a casual friend. It has nothing to do with his interest or non-interest in you. You are his client. Until and unless he asks you out for coffee or lunch after a lesson and asks for further dates, don't bank on anything with this person.

He has a lot of access to many women from his work. Be cool, take your lessons and see if anything develops to INDICATE his interest.

If nothing does, just be grateful he's a good teacher and a professional.

More than likely, he has few opportunities to talk to any of his much older or much younger clients.

I do understand that I am his client. I also work with people, although in a different field. His studio might have a policy of not dating their clients, which is why I don't want to do anything to cause him trouble. I also understand that he might be nice just because of work, I am also nice to my clients, but I have never shared such information with them and being quite bad at interpersonal relationships I am asking for advice. What do you think might be an indicator of his interest?

Sounds like he's a pleasant person. What would indicate his interest is if he asks to date you! I'm sure it's enjoyable to be able to talk to someone, and you're relaxed after your dance workout. Who knows why he started talking about his girlfriends. Why don't you ask why he brought this up. Then you'd be completely clear on why he discussed it.

I've never heard of any policy about not dating a dance student. It's not a conflict of interest. Both of you are adults of similar ages. This isn't an unequal power dynamic, such as an older college professor and an 18 year old student who needs a grade from him or her.

Enjoy your class and ask the man. You may find out he likes you, or he simply wanted someone to talk to. Either way, you still have a great teacher.

Sounds like he's getting personal with you which shows the exact opposite of professionalism which is what he's suppose to be doing so it only shows something is up if he's not doing so and yes indeed it seems like that something is interest.

I would very much believe so yes, now there's always the chance that the intentions are different, there's many options of intention, I'm sure you know what I mean so just don't be naive and I think you'll be chillin.
