A few other thoughts:

- Adding you first thing in the morning shows you're one of the first things on his mind when he wakes up. Points to you being important to him.

- Calculating the hours means he wants to get a sense of how much longer until you link up. Means he's anticipating and looking forward to seeing you.

- In general I think texting more than usual on the day of shows extra interest/anticipation levels too.

If a girl I was going out with did any of that, I'd be stoked thinking she was really into it. Sounds like this dude is pumped! I don't know about excited, but if your date's behaving like that, he seems a bit too over excited if you ask me. And depending on girl to girl, it's either a turn on or a massive turn off (speaking from personal experiences and what I've been told/observed by the general populous)
