There are many things it could be but the likelihood that he is just dismissing you is very slim.
Maybe he had something important to do and decided to cut the conversation short.
Maybe he didn’t have much to talk about so he decided it would just be better to cut the conversation.

Maybe he miss read you And thought you didn’t want to talk or couldn’t talk or something like that and decided to cut the conversation short.
