Well I started dating my boyfriend as a 19yr old and he is a 25 years old. I just turned 20 and we have almost a 6yr age gap cause my bday is at the end of the year.

But I haven't seen this as weird in any way. We've had a normal relationship, we laugh together a lot, have same kind of humor, watch movies together and he is always willing to help me. He recently met my parents, grandma and even aunt. My parents liked him very much and he felt the same about them ☺️

Of course there can always me exceptions though🤷🏽‍♀️

Creepy? A little. Even though it's legal in many cases, I haven't wanted to date teenagers since I was 20 years old, and even then, I would have never went below 19 years old when I was 20. A 22 year old might only be three years older than a 19 year old, but there is a big difference in maturity between 22, and 19.

Now, borderline "pedo"? No, not at all. Pedophilia generally refers to physical, and mental attraction of kids under 14 years old. There is a big difference between a 19 year old, and a 13 year old (even disregaring legal differences).

I don't think enough people in our age range remember just how much different the average 22/23 year old is than 19 year old. It may not seem like much, but a LOT of maturity, and major life experiences happens throughout those ages. It's not equivalent to a 27 year old dating a 31 year old, or a 33 year old dating a 37 year old.

My 23 year old self was so much different than my 19 year old self, and that's true for most people I've met.
