My ex contacted me after 7 years, and I don’t know what I should do?

Hey! So years ago, back in 2017, I met this girl, and we began dating. We ended up breaking up in 2018, since the year prior, I was still attached to my previous ex. I sabotaged the relationship I was in, in an attempt to get back with my prior ex. (Which didn’t work out at all) Anyways, she ended up moving, and we haven’t been in contact since 2018. She’s had me added on Facebook, but we never spoke.
Flash to recently, when I’ve been single for a while, I ended up doing a prayer which I don’t do. I’m not really religious. The prayer was practically that I was ready for a relationship.
The following day, or just a few hours before New Years 2024, she called me, and wanted to chat. We’re now talking, but at the same time, I don't know what I should do. It certainly seems like a sign, but at the same time, the past few years have been pretty traumatic relationship-wise, so I’m hesitant. What should I do?

Ah man, that's a tough one dude. On one hand, seeing her pop back up outta nowhere after all this time does seem kind of like a sign or something. Like maybe the universe is trying to tell you something.

But at the same time, I could see why you'd be hesitant too after all the drama from back then. Plus it's been so long, people can change a lot in 7 years.

I'd say take it real slow feeling it out. Don't just jump straight back into dating or anything serious yet. Keep your guard up a little. Chat with her casual like to catch up and see how the convo vibes. Pay attention if you still connect on the same level or if it's weird now.

Maybe meet up in person too so you can get a better read on her energy. See if you even still actually like her or if it's just nostalgia. Give it time to make sure she's not gonna mess with your head like before.

No need to decide anything major yet. Just roll with it and see where the catch up leads. Don't overthink it, follow your gut. If it feels right later on then cool, but take it step-by-step so you don't set yourself up to get hurt again, ya know?

The New Year is the time where people make the most mistakes through loneliness. You said 'i don't know what I should do' Often that really translates to 'I know what I should do but I'm lonely'

This is the beginning of a new year. I strongly suggest you do not go backwards but leave old habits behind and start afresh. Also beware that the enemy is one of confusion. How do you know the real new relationship was waiting for you but is now being blocked by going back to the past...
