When talking to a girl.. I think I use this too much for some questions.. which arises from the fear of whether I'll appear too pushy or creepy
And now I think it's a turn off or weird that I use it a lot

Dude, I know what you mean. I think I used to do the same thing - always saying "if I may ask" whenever talking to a girl. But you're right, it can come across as weird or like you're super worried about everything you say.
Honestly man, most girls just want a guy who's confident and comfortable talking to them. As long as what you're asking isn't too personal right away, you really don't need to keep qualifying everything.
I'd say save "if I may ask" for deeper questions further into getting to know each other. For casual early conversation, just ask normally without apologizing. Like "so where did you grow up?" instead of "if I may ask, where did you grow up?".
Girls can tell when a guy is hesitating cause he's scared of messing up. Just be your chill self and don't overthink it. If she seems cool talking, you're golden. And if not, her loss! Just talk to her like a normal person. You got this dude!
Man I love you
I mean your answers
You’re welcome bruh anytime lol
Yeah, nowadays you got to find filler words so women don't have reactions that older women didn't have. Like the word creep or creeper. That term never existed 20 plus years ago. And, women just think some weird shit so you just got to find some alternative filler words. But it's okay to use if in a hypothetical situation. Like "if I had the privilege of dating you". Because the word if is more like a feel out question. I wouldn't let it bother you. It's not you. It's your generation technically
Don't use it. It sounds like your judging them even looking down on them. It's basically saying "justify your actions to me."
Take these two exact same questions asked to a daughter by a father as an example
"If i may ask, where were you last night?"
"Did you go anywhere good last night?"
One is demanding an explanation the other inviting friendly chat.
It's a kind gesture to do so
You can use it for questions you feel like it's needed, maybe about something which is a bad memory for her or she doesn't wanna talk about much

Whenever you want, but don't overdo it. Maybe just the initial question, then just turn it into a conversation after that, freely asking questions of each other.
