In heterosexual relationships, why do women tend to date younger men?

Almost every straight married couple, or just couple I come across is a man dating an older woman. Many women I come across love the youthful looks of a man, while men date older women for their maturity. I know so many men who tell me they don't mind heavier bodies, grey hair, and wrinkles. They find it "hot". Women are just obsessed with a young piece of ass.

I've not seen this trend at all.

Its mostly younger women dating older men or people of roughly the same age dating.

My personal experience is usually the opposite as well.

I look very young according to most, and it causes younger women to hit on me far more often than women my age, whereas older women seem to avoid making advances on me unless my age is mentioned (they assume I'm still a teen most of the time, which I dunno if I should consider that rude or flattering).

This is the 100% and absolute opposite to my life experience. I work in a male dominated field and in various teams from 5 to 25 members I know of only one older female/younger male relationship. About 1/3rd are about the same age and 2/3rds are older male/younger female. Most by a couple of years the the most extreme is about 15yrs difference.

Well me being 20 the youngest any of my friends can date is 1-2 years younger so I don’t know if you’d consider that younger or around the same age. I don’t see a lot of women with younger men (that I’m aware of) where I live. Most of the couples I’ve met either the guy is older or they’re around the same age, but again that could just be because I’m 20.

I usually see more men dating younger women for appearance and fertility purposes. I don’t mind dating younger guys but i prefer it be within 0-3 year age gap. I’ve made an exception for very few. Until I’m 30, i will seek men in their 20s. When i turn 30 then i’ll see men in their 30s

No I think you do mate. Be it on dating apps or anywere else irl the guy is always older or at least the same age. The biggest age difference I ever saw was maybe the girl beeing older 1-2 years but even that is super rare.

From 300 likes I got only 2 were from women older than me by a year or more

Here in the US almost all my friends and family are with same age or older woman/younger man. The only couples that I know where the guy is older are boomers

Usually people are the same age to 1 or 2 years gap. So not really dating younger but date the same age range.
