How does a guy, who doesn't meet the typical physical standards women usually find attractive, improve his chances when it comes to dating?

After scrolling so many guys on dating apps I'm not sure if you are aware that the parameters are not that closed off. Guys presume women only like tall men? I'm only 5ft 1 so not me. I swipe left on over 6ft. What other presumptions? Some women like bald men. Some don't. Some like beards. Some don't. Some like tattoos. Some don't. I'm not saying it's not tough, especially, essentially, if you are saying a guy comes across as "ugly". I mean. I've seen a lot of really bad profiles. Putting a video helps as it shows a person much better than how photos can sometimes depict. But generally good photos with stylish clothes. Groomed and clean. Not over smiling. Nor looking angry or grumpy. So do the best you can and then yes, sadly for all of us it's then down to the whim of viewers to decide of they find uou attractive. And there's nothing more we can do about that.
