I have New Daily Persistent Headache. I've had a tension headache for two years straight. I'm at a 3-4/10 most days on a pain scale. Worried about a date coming up and wondering how to tell her about my pain. I can still work and do anything a normal person can do.

I’m bipolar and I would feel the need to inform her immediately once dating. Dates are a time for getting to know each other naturally. So slamming her with mental issues wouldn’t be a good strategy.

I live with chronic illness which can be extremely tough. I usually wait a couple dates in, and make a joke about it to sort of break the ice on the topic. I try to wait a couple dates in rather than a first date, because it's stressful for me to talk about my illness with people I don't know and if they don't even seem like it's worth it or like they would even potentially care, I don't want to waste the effort.

I tell them, ASD and CVID aren't visible and while ASD is more well known, CVID is usually not tested for since it's so uncommon.
