Why do people assume I have a girlfriend or that I should have a girlfriend if I'm ugly and short (5.10)?

My friends and older people ask me if I have a girlfriend and if I say no, they tell me that it's because I don't want to and that I'm too picky and I don't go out enough. I had cute girlfriends at some point so that's probably why they think that. Or when I had a girlfriend who wasn't a conventional beauty, people said I could do better. I'm generally quite socially confident, despite knowing I'm ugly, or at least that's what my face looks like. My jaws are not defined, although I'm slim and they are a bit uneven. I also have a round face.

Dude that's rough, I can understand why it would get old having people assume you should have no problem getting a girl. Just cause you used to date sometimes doesn't mean it'll always be that easy. Looks aren't everything.

Don't stress what others say - you know your situation best. Dating is hard for all of us sometimes. Maybe those people just don't get it cause they've never walked in your shoes.

Few things though - don't be so hard on yourself either man. I'm sure you've got other great qualities! And just because you haven't found someone lately doesn't mean you should settle either. You deserve someone who likes you for you.

Keep putting yourself out there in situations where you can connect with people authentically. Build confidence in who you are inside, not just looks. Show off your humor, personality. You never know when you might meet someone who's into the full package.

In the meantime try not taking the comments personal. Easier said than done I know. Hold your head high bud - you'll find your person in your own time.

Jesus dude 5'10" isn't short, you don't have be over 6' to get a girl.
Whoever said " you can do better" is an asshole and I can't believe you'd listen to them.
Maybe you are too picky, or too worried about what people will think of your arm candy.
And no one cares about your jaw. Grow beard, stop throwing a " I'm 5'10" pitty party" be less picky about their looks and get a girlfriend.

What they mean by picky is that I don't want someone who sleeps around, but a girlfriend for a serious relationship.

Almost every guy I know is 5'8 or much less, and they ALL have girlfriends or are married.

The height excuse just doesn't cut it.
