Why do adults, teachers and smaller children tell me I’m pretty and I should model, and people my age at my school tell me I’m ugly?

I think it’s weird how I can’t go anywhere without an adult calling me pretty or complimenting me on something. And little children even compliment me I can’t walk anywhere without them saying something beautiful, but the kids my age wanna put me down and call me ugly. My friend Tamea she said that I’m pretty she rate me a 7 out of 10, this guy came up to me and said you’re not ugly you’re just not a 7 out of 10. A lot of guys give me low rating like 2 out of 10 or 3 out of 10. My guidance counselor has a name for me it’s “pretty girl” and on the first day of school this teacher said you’re so pretty. And my friends say I should model. They say my haircut looks good on me. My friend he is a guy and he said he was jealous of my haircut. The boy who said I wasn’t ugly and I’m not a 7 out of 10, when we had to chose where we had to sit he sat right beside me.

You can take one thing for sure: if a little kid calls you pretty, you're pretty. They don't know how to lie about stuff like that yet. Teenagers lie about damn near everything because the most important thing in the world to them is their image. And if you're pretty, it makes them feel not good enough, so they want to tear you down.

Yea but the prettiest girl at my school everyone says she’s a 10. Kids my age and adults says that for her, but for me it’s just girls that are my friends, teachers, random strangers and little kids. My friend said I was a 4 out of 10 yet he asked me out and compliment my vintage 80s look. I would say it’s mostly boys that put me down but I also think they’re jealous of me. Because my friend he told me he was jealous of my hair.

Considering your under 18 and still probably in either middle or high school it’s mainly because everyone is out to get eachother. They do whatever it takes rocket boost their morale. It’s depressing that this is a world we live in but it’s life. If you let it get to you then your helping them.

There’s a real chance guys are just jealous and lying but there are some possible reasons guys your age would be less into you then others.

I have a vintage style, very 80s style. Something you’d see on Instagram, I’m 5”4, 13, I’m model slim. That’s why a lot of adults tell me I should model because I’m that skinny. My hair is cut short and it’s really curly like my curls are big and puffy. Like the singer Kehlani curly pixie hair.

My guess is that 13 year old boys tend to be curve obsessed to a degree older guys are not (at least many aren’t).

If you’re still skinny at 20 you will look like a skinny young woman.

At your age boys tend to really like curves since they are clear indications that you’re pubescent and a woman not a child. That’s because most males are not pedophiles :p. So my guess is you have very pretty feature but don’t look as grown up as some girls your age.

That’s a short term problem. Sounds like you have great genetics just not the fastest developing of your peers.
