We know each other for quite some times, and safe to say, when we are joking, i can well predict what he gonna say. Then i guess it again today, he still amaze with it and say “now i can tell any friends you are my soulmate”

I like him.. So i don’t know if i’m being delulu and think that is a hint while it is actually just a friendly banter

It sounds like a hint to me and it might be a good idea to share your true feelings with him. Worst case scenario he says he doesn't feel the same way.

That's is true, but it's not a bad idea to take a chance! If he says no and things get awkward for a bit, things will probably get back to normal in time if you are truly good friends.
