Do you think it’s important for a person to tell their boyfriend or boyfriend they have had plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons?

I currently have zero aesthetics but I have booked to get sliding genoiplasty in January. My recessed chin has been killing my confidence for years. I don’t believe I would consider having surgery anywhere else besides my chin.

I currently don’t have a boyfriend either but maybe I might meet a man in the future and start dating him.

Hmm, that's a tough call girl. On the one hand, plastic surgery is so common now that I wouldn't think most guys would even care that much. It's your body and your decision to do what makes you feel confident.

But at the same time, I could see him being caught off guard down the line if he had no idea. Like what if way in the future y'all were hanging with his family or something and old photos of you came up? Then he looks stupid not knowing.

I'd say maybe you don't need to announce it or anything right away if you're just casually dating. But if things start to get serious with a guy and you think there could be a real future, then I'd tell him.

Just be casual about it, like "Oh by the way, when I was single I got surgery to fix my chin. Ever since then my confidence has been so much better!" That way he knows, but you're not making a big deal out of it either.

As long as you feel good and it's not something crazy he'd freak out over, I think most guys wouldn't care much. The honesty is more important in a real relationship anyway. Just my two cents sis! You do what makes you feel confident.
