He’s 28, and honestly it really doesn’t matter. I am in a living situation with I’m with two roommate men, so I’d hope someone accept my living situation if I’m accepting theirs. If anything, we will move in together eventually

Depends on a lot of things. Mostly, why does he still live with his parents? And does he have a good enough personality to make up for it? If he's living with his parents because he has no ambition in life or will/success in getting/keeping a job, that's a tough sell. If he's living with his parents because he was going to school, or was previously successful but fell on hard times in some way, then that's a lot easier to digest.

That’s kinda ridiculous that a guy has to have an above average personality to make up for it, that means you would give a guy with an average personality a chance if he had his own place but if a guy with an identical personality to the guy who has his own place still lived with his parents, you would write him off solely because of his living situation.

Because I want to date people who I know can support themselves, and in most cases, I assume a guy who's living with his parents would be unable to support himself. Therefore, he'd have to have a really incredible personality to cause me to consider dating him even though I will likely have to support him financially on my own. It's not that I'll go for a shitty guy as long as he has his own house. It's that I won't go for any guy who doesn't have a house or career unless he seriously wows me in other aspects. I am a career driven person. I don't need my man to support me, but I don't want to feel like my man is downright mooching off of me.

You see, this is exactly what I hate about a lot of women these days. What you said didn’t justify anything and all you did was just skate around the fact that if there was two guys you were talking to who were very similar to each other, you would write off the one who lives at home solely for that reason. Women like you are just plain awful. It is fair to have concerns about a man in his 30’s still living with his parents, but but the fact that you’re so quick to cast judgment and jump to conclusions to make the assumption that you’ll be financially supporting him instead of getting an explanation and letting him elaborate about his living so is exactly the problem here. For your information, I work 7 days a week in an area with a very high cost of living and despite working so much, I still cannot afford to move out. I support myself in all other aspects, but no matter how many extra work hours and overtime I put in, rent prices keep outpacing wages and that’s a common occurrence in the economy right now for a lot of people. This type of judgmental attitude is exactly why so many men these days can’t stand career women because this is how they act.

Okay, cool. I was basing my answer off of the information I was given, about some hypothetical guy, where no further elaboration was available. I wouldn't date any guy before getting to know him, so rather than assume and immediately write off various men due to their living situations, I would not have to assume anything because I would actually know the full story before even considering dating anyone. I did not know the full story in this case, so I made do with the information I did have.

It's really about personality most of all. If you're struggling to find love, look there to improve first. Sweetest guy I know struggles with work. He has still had an extensive love life, because he's a sweetheart and people like him. Didn't need money to pull chicks, just a good heart.

I know this is old, but I just saw your reply. I think the claim that personality is all that matters is BS. It does matter, but women reject men with good personalities for some other trivial reason all the time. One example I can give that’s relevant to me is if a guy is older and has no dating or relationship experience but a good personality, she will write him off solely because of his lack of experience.
