Guys, what's your honest opinion about dating older women?

I know this topic has come up before, but it always intrigues me. From what I've heard from close friends, many women feel hesitant about dating younger men. How do you feel about it? Would the age gap be problematic for you, or could it be something positive?

It depends on how much older if we are talking about older then 40 for me personally I want to have a family at some point so I probably wouldn’t date much higher then that unless it’s like divine intervention.

With that being said I’m not opposed to dating someone whose 30s (I am a bit younger then what my profile says) what matters most to me is the heart.

Do keep in mind all men as well as women are different, so what’s right for someone maybe won’t be right for someone else. It’s nothing personal to not be romantically attracted it doesn’t mean you judge them as a human being, and frankly people who are like that are doing you a massive favor.

It's very scary. I wish we could detect these kinds of personalities both online and offline. It's always such a challenge because they're very good at what they do.

Asker they are but unfortunately many people see it later own. But they go into denial especially if this person was too good to be true. This person is their soulmate.

It’s like if someone goes through a nasty divorce. Many times the next person they marry is even worse then the last.

But they can’t let them go because he or she was so good at the stsrt. They were everything you ever wanted.

It’s really weird though how a person can see it in other peoples relationships. But when it’s their own they can’t.

It's as if the person becomes hypnotized by their affection for the other, to the point where they can't see the truth right in front of them. It's very weird indeed.

It’s weird and sad. Because so many times somebody has talked this person they’re with up as if he or she is just the best person in the world and how special they are.

Then you meet them and it’s like ehhhhhh…….

I think that older women suspect that if a younger guy is interested in her, he just wants sex. And if hr does want more and they start dating, her friends will judge her harshly for dating a younger guy.

I have dated a few older women (several decades ago,) as well as some younger women. The older females were women to whom I was attracted, and I would have dated them and allowed a relationship to develop. However, they did not want to take me as a serious contender for the role of the leading man in their lives.

Not all women feel the same about certain things, but as a woman and from what I’ve heard from other female relatives, they often seek emotional and financial stability for themselves and in their future partners. Younger men, who are still figuring out their lives, might not be able to fully provide that stability yet, which is completely normal and okay. However, I believe that when people truly care for each other, it’s absolutely possible to work things out and grow together as a team.

Being honest , the upwards age gap for me has been pretty much irrelevant , there was a line and I’m sure most of you could guess where that was. During my relative youth I “dated” woman more than twice my age. The biggest gap being 24 years my senior … My explanation.. ? well to me there was always something incredibly sexy about a mature confident woman , this has been a constant throughout my life. I flirted with my teachers and lecturers shamelessly. Looking back the psychology of it was likely to do with my childhood and lack of stability to a certain extent but I never consciously considered this at the time.
Given that I’m now mature it’s kinda irrelevant but confidence is still an extremely attractive and desirable quality.

I will date, as I'm 30, any woman who's 18 years old to 30 years old - that's about it. However if I'm 32, I would cringe if a 32 year old and an 18 year old are dating - that's like, weird. A man is only so "free spirited still" until he's well into 30. Then it's just sad 😅😅😅😞😞😞

It also seems like an unspoken bias worldwide that "usually the man is older and bigger/taller" where as the woman in a couple is usually petite and cuddlier and a couple years younger aka I'm 30 and I could easily say my girlfriend is 24 so thats a 6 year gap, if I had one lol 😆😆😆😆

Personally I do look down on couples who are the same age or 1 - 2 year age gap - I feel like they're missing out on something or too isolating themselves from when they could've done better or scored better on the dating fishing lol 🦦🎣

I've dated- and continue to- take as lovers women who are in their late 60s and girls just over the age of consent. To a large degree sexuality & sensuousness is something you are born with. It might change Appearances over the years but women have a way of being sexy regardless of how old they are

It is mainly based on if I want kids or not. If I want kids, then I feel a responsibility to do what I can to give them the best shot at being healthy, which means I would have to discriminate by age. If I don't want kids, then its whatever for the most part. The check boxes wouldn't be much different from a woman who is younger. There would be a few differences like I would expect her to handle situations more maturely but besides that, if I'm attracted to her and she is a dope person character wise, and we fundamentally align, I would date her.

I think "useless" is an unnecessary word to express how you feel about dating older women. It’s okay to prefer women of your age or younger if you want to have children. Just be nicer next time in how you express yourself.

I dated an older lady when I was younger. I was 23, she was 45. Learned a lot from her sexually, but she had issues. That was more of a fun time than something serious. At my age it would still be the same thing. I don’t want an older lady.

At my age I don't date older women. My advice is with age we have to grow up. If you are 50 try not to have the problems of a 25 year old! At 25 everyone is broke, but if you are broke at 50, you have had a bad life plan in the USA!
