Yes, especially in the usa. Guys are dime a dozen for wormen, but finding a nontoxic women who is interested in a guy that won't cheat is rare. Sadly many women tend to cheat on guys instead of talking about issues in a relationship (guys will also do the same).
Dating for guys, is insanely hard compared to women (granted they have to sift through hundreds of men, that are creepy, toxic, and obviously just want 1-night-stands). We have to deal with scammers, solicitations, constant ghosting, being used, being dehumanize, being abused, women dropping all interest because of 1 insignificant thing or word, dealing all of the toxic mind games & being yelled at because women won't be honest and subtext.
So, it's obvious that a guy is scared to lose the woman he is in a relationship with, especially if he has had a past of women cheating on him, over insignificant things, a whim, and/or a lack of conversating.
We have to go through so many hoops just to find mutual attraction with someone00 Reply

It’s not weird it’s a genuine concern many people have and sometimes it’s very valid. In a health relationship there is trust as well as communication. If someone has insecurities it needs to be addressed and the other person needs to genuinely listen.
But when that doesn’t happen many times insecurities come out in negative ways, which will eventually lead to the end of the relationship.
Sometimes things aren’t meant to be and if that’s what happens at least you have closure, aren’t wasting time, and can leave on good terms. At the same time if it is working through things makes people stronger.

I believe it is a two-way street. Some guys could be scared to lose their girlfriends because the security that they don't have in the relationship or just because of the actions that their girlfriend has displayed to them. Depending on the relationships situation or status I do find it weird at times. For example, one of my close friends cheated on his girlfriend and yet was scared of ever losing her. I didn't understand how he could be scared of losing her but also hurt her in such a way. However that is not always the case sometimes we really just connect with another person and the fear of losing them in that connection naturally appears. In other words no but it depends on the circumstance.

I feel like there is a follow up question that is more specific? I don’t think it’s unusual for either guys or girl to feel insecure about their relationship sometimes, it is unfortunate and hopefully temporary but it happens and during that time you could be scared to lose the relationship.

Only because they really have no say in this. It's like going to the doctor. No amount of worrying is going to change the outcome, so there's no point in worrying about it. Well, a woman's mind is made up you're not chaging it. So just do you and let the chips fall where they may. There are 4 billion women on the planet. It's pointless to try to keep one that has decided she doesn't want to be with you.
And I'm not trying to sound callous when I say this. I'm not suggesting you mistreat your girlfriend, or marginalize her in any way. I'm simply saying don't worry about it after you've done your best. The balls in her court at that point. Accept whatever reality throws at you and move on. No one should EVER beg somebody to stay in their life.

It's a valid concern. If they like the person, they won't want to lose her. People can change and develop different feelings just like the weather changes between seasons. Good things often don't last. So just cherish the person while they are still around.
00 Reply Why weird? It’s sweet, beautiful, I read that of him, loyal, committed, trustworthy.
However, I know a couple of guys cheating on their spouse, but doesn’t want to loose that spouse.
Not sure, it might be delusional too!10 Reply915 opinions shared on Dating topic. No. I like it when people care enough to feel something real. If it becomes pathological that’s a problem but to just want I keep someone you value I mean yeah it’s nice in my opinion 🤷🏻♀️
