Are guys really that afraid to screw things up with girls they like?

Are guys that afraid to screw things up with a girl that they will even go out of their way to avoid a girl just in case he does something weird or screws something up? Honestly I think guys should man up and stop hiding their feelings. Why are guys such cowards. Just straight up tell her you like her it's not that hard. Stop avoiding her just cause you are nervous. It makes you look weak.

Men aren't cowards if they're afraid of screwing things up with a girl! I've heard of guys who lost their friendships to a girl because they were asked out, THAT'S what we're afraid of. I don't care about rejection, I'm just worried I would lose a friend if she said no.

When you tell a girl you like her, she's usually shocked because she didn't have an idea that he felt that way, then she makes it weird and pretty much avoids you from now on.
