Hell yeah. Why not? You have no obligation to date or fuck someone you talk to online and a lot of guys would think they are being both honest and complimentary. And ha as guys usually have to make the first move with very little information to go on other than visual it's a ice breaker.

Now... once a woman responds that's where a guy has gotta show he has a bit more depth to him. Which you know, girls do too. Can't be all on the guy to carry a conversation.
