Have you ever felt a weird eerie connection to someone you just met like you’ve known them a long time and feel like they’re exactly like you? Then when you get to know them better you were 100% correct that they’re almost exactly like you? Then you wonder whether they feel the same too?

Opposites tend to attract for good reason.
Opposites also tend to break up for good reason.

If I had it to do all over again, I'd pursue someone who was similar to me in sharing the same core values that I do, but also different enough from me that I might find myself curious about their interests that were previously outside of my radar that may appeal to me.
Hopefully, she would express curiosity in at least some of my interests that are outside of her experience.
Then, of course, having individual interests that need not involve a partner at all in order to be enjoyed is important, as well.
