I personally see nothing wrong with it. You shouldn't be afraid to fall for whoever you meet. No where should be off limits.

If you meet the perfect person for you at work, would you just not go out with them because you met them at work? I feel that people who'd let that opportunity go are sheep.

Most companies frown on workplace relationships because of the negative effects they may have on employee performance and profit. It can even laud to fraud, favoritism and mis-management. That's why many companies have written rules against it.

Because it can interfere with your job and cause issues at your job if things don’t work out between you both , why it’s best to leave your personal life at home and go to work to work to get a paycheck when you mix business with pleasure it can cause a lot of drama and make your job feel uneasy especially if coworkers are gossiping about you and the coworker you are getting it on with. But if you really don’t give a shit about your job and don’t care if you get fired or quit , have a blast lol

Because that’s where a lot of problems happen. 6 years ago, I was working an entry level job that had a 4 month training portion and briefly dated one of my co-workers during the first 2 months. Things didn’t work out and she talked trash about me to my peers and I think upper management. During training we had the option to list our preferred places to be placed full time after training. She got what I wanted and I got the worst placement, in the most toxic business unit at the company. I’ll never date someone from work again.

I think the theory is that if a couple were to break up maybe under not so good terms that they would be unable to keep any negativity towards each other out of the work place which could effect productivity

I dated and even met a few of my girlfriends through work. School and work are great places to meet people.
I know people who married people they worked with. They continued to work together and it worked out great.

If people can keep it professional, there isn't a problem. But it can disrupt the workplace if they bring drama.

Gossip spreads like wildfire in a workplace and can lead to all kinds of bad results.

Foremost it affects productivity... especially since all non-platonic relationships have a natural arc from initial attraction to eventual loss-of-interest by one party. The emotionalism is antithetical to a work environment. 'Employment' ONLY pays your bills if YOU are effective in the function you were hired for. Eventually, all work romances force a prioritization and affect efficiency.

I've always had good luck with them, but there is always the risk things won't work out and you have to work with an ex. Also, some employers do not allow them, so you have to do it on the sly.

In most cases if two people spend time together at work and after work , it will kill them relationship, because of boredom, very few who can handle to have partner around 24/7 , but relationship it self at work between two people is nothing wrong it self , but how long it will last , that's another matter 🤔

I have been on this road and it gets complicated real quickly. You are gonna drag work related issues into the relationship. You dont have alone time. I mean you work together you are together after work. It seems nice at first. But soon you get tired of it and wanna talk to someone else too. And if this relationship goes to shit, then getting over him/her will take much more time because you still see each other AT WORK.

Because they create an environment that’s not conducive to work, make other people feel comfortable, and lend themselves to corruption/different treatment/unfairness. I’m definitely less productive at work when I’m fucking on my desk. Although, I suppose the release is good for stress 😂

Can make headaches for other co workers, the boss, the company. I've heard horror stories from some restaurants...

Work is for doing work, keep it professional.

I have never heard of such a stigma. Literally every company I have ever worked for had couples, from girlfriend/boyfriend to married.

They usually create problems for the employer and ends up losing one or both of them, which is a pain in the ass if they're good employees.
